Part 1, the York - London - Chunnel - Paris pre-tour

Our ladies' favorite:
Since 2012 we have been offering/adding a cultural highlight before we start the regular Germany tour.

Our pre-tour starts in England with a visit to the British National Railway Museum in York (considered by many as the best in the world), a day in London and 2 days in romantic Paris. In London and Paris we will provide you with a pass for a "hop on/hop off" sightseeing bus. This will give you the chance to look, and spend time at the stops that are interesting to YOU.

If some travelers do not feel safe and secure to do this on their own, our tour guide will accompany you for a standard city tour and hop off at major points of interest.

To connect between the countries, we will take the legendary EUROSTAR from London to Paris through the Chunnel, and finally continue with the THALYS, TGV or ICE to Germany.

Day 1, most travelers arrive at London Heathrow airport
The group meets, is greeted by the the tour guide and
transfers to Kings Cross train station in London. Here
we board the train to York and enjoy the English country
side and arrive in a beautiful medieval town

Depending on the weather, we will start our hop on/off
sightseeing tour or pay our first visit to the British
National Railroad Museum
.
Here you will see the most beautifully restored steam locomotives in the world.

The railway system in Great Britain is the oldest in the world; the world's first locomotive-hauled public railway opened in 1825. Most of the railway track is managed by Network Rail, which as of 2010 had a network of 15,754 kilometres (9789 mi) of standard-gauge lines, of which 5,249 kilometres (3262 mi) are electrified

Day 2, York - London
We will continue our sightseeing tour of York
or pay our 2nd visit to the railroad museum.

Day 3, London - Eurostar
We spend most of the day so see more of this fascinating city, a melting pot of many ethnicities,
history, architecture and royalties.
Late afternoon we board the Eurostar at St. Pancras
station and start the journey through the Chunnel
to Paris.
