NEW since 2015

In 2015, we did change our routine somewhat to be even more flexible to accommodate customers’ wishes and requests.
Where available, we will always include local events to show you the real face of Germany and make it even more appealing for our ladies to join the tour with their other halves:)

Normandy landing sites:

Most of our male travelers are over 65 with a historical interest in WW2, and especially in the invasion of Normandy,
D-day and the landing sites. As they get older, more and more put “Normandy”on their bucket list.  If you want to combine this chapter of history with big, small, old and new trains, European culture and cuisine, lifestyle, technology and lots and lots of fun, then let’s talk. Provided we get a minimum of 6 out of the whole group to commit for the 1 day Normandy excursion, we can put it in front of the “Germany loop”.

Let’s finally learn from the terrible mistakes made in the past!

PRAGUE/CZech republic:

On every trip we visit Dresden - about 100 miles away from Prague = the most original old city in Europe. Used often by Hollywood for its historical background, Prague offers fantastic historical architecture, great Bohemian food, excellent beer and some of the best live Jazz played in Europe.
And right in the middle is Eastern Europe’s largest model train layout (partially still under construction) aiming for the #1 title in the world, beating Wunderland in Hamburg:

Good luck bro’s, stop drinking so much of your good beer!
All this said, of course we have been including this wonderful city!.

GLACIER EXPRESS/Switzerland:

On our tour - part 3 we take the famous GLACIER EXPRESS from Zermatt (Matterhorn) over
the Alps to St. Moritz, the world’s most fancy/
schmancy ski resort.  Unless you are there in the winter
and you want to be seen with Royals, Presidents, mobsters and wanna be’s - all it has to offer is
ridiculous prices, often unfriendly service and the most boring “downtown” area in Europe.
So, we will give St. Moritz the boot and replace it with the town of Bergun to stay overnight. Bergun has a new railroad museum and greets you with a crocodile right at the station.
The museum has a nice layout featuring the world famous Albula line (helix/tunnels/viaducts) that is
absolutely

unique in the world: http://www.museums.ch/org/en/Albula
Good bye St. Moritz, eat your $28 burgers yourself!

Italy: Venice, Florence, Rome:

On special request (min. 6 group members) we have been adding a 5 day excursion to Italy (instead of Switzerland where applicable). We travel by train, but everything else is touristic, with extensive sightseeing from hop on/hop off tour buses and plenty of time for you to do the things you are interested in (with our assistance as requested).
Please inquire about details.
